Telus & Koodo’s LG Optimus Black finally receiving Android 4.0 ICS

image

Well users of the LG Optimus Black on Telus & Koodo have been waiting a long….. LONG time for an update to ICS. It seems that those users are finally getting that Ice Cream love in the form of Android 4.0.4. If you haven’t received a notification to update then either head to your settings – About Phone – Check for update, or if it’s not showing then connect the phone to your PC through LG’s suite software which is downloadable online from LG’s official site.
(The PC connected update is the only way I’ve heard of so far)

*Thanks to Elvis Ahmed for the notification that the update has arrived*

White Nexus 4, Real or Fake?

image

A photo showed up on the net today of a white Nexus 4 & it looks beautiful. Rumours were that LG started making a white version a few weeks into production of the original black model, & well it could very well be coming out real soon. This could also be just a very good rendering, but with past Nexus models being released in white it seems like a reality.

Have you been thinking of getting the Nexus 4, does this white version seem appealing? Let us know.

Bell puts price of the Galaxy Nexus in the basement

image

Bell is dropping the price of the Galaxy Nexus down to $349.99 to clear out any remaining stock. So if your looking for a great Android phone @ a great price head on down to your local Bell Mobility dealer & see if they have any left.

Why is Bell trying to push these older Nexus phones out the door so fast? Well it could very well be because Bell is going to start carrying the Nexus 4 !!!!
This is just speculation however & is based off Videotron announcing they will be carrying the Nexus 4 very soon.

The Nexus story is heating up in Canada & if youve been waiting on stock from the PlayStore then this story could really be getting your juices flowing. Ill bring more news as its exposed.
Anybody still trying to getbtheir hands on a Nexus 4, or is the Galaxy Nexus the phone for you?

Nexus 4 could be coming to a retailer near you

image

You can’t buy Google’s LG Nexus 4 online right now but if you’re still wanting one in Canada right away you could be heading to Quebec. Videotron seems to be launching the Nexus 4 “soon.” No prices or dates have been said but just that they will be first provider in Canada to release the latest Nexus Device.

image

Let’s all hope that this means more providers in Canada will start carrying the illusive pure Android device.
I know many Koodo customers have asked for the device & Koodo has been considering it but we’ll have to wait & see what transpires.
Chances are the price will not be as cheap as the Play Store has been selling the device & the Nexus 4 could very well see a $500 or $600 price tag.

At that price would you still be interested in the device, or is the price tag one of the biggest factors for your interest?

LG begins initial rollout of Jelly Bean to Optimus G

image

LG’s 4.7″ quad core Optimus G has begun to receive some Jelly Bean loving in the form of a Android 4.1 update. Users in Korea seem to be receiving the update in its initial push. This gives users in Canada a ray of sunshine as it should be heading to North America fairly soon.
Hopefully this is also a sign that LG is taking updates a little more seriously in 2013. After angering many users of LG devices that were left out of the loop when Android 4.0 ICS was rolling out about a year ago many lost faith in the company and their venture into the Android market.

Is LG working on the Next Nexus Phone already?

image

LG Nexus 5

Rumour has it LG might be working on the Next Nexus device to have it ready in time for Google I/O. Now take this with a boulder of salt because as I see it working with LG again on such an important device seems like a terrible idea after such shortages of the Nexus 4.
Not only will the next-gen Nexus smartphone be the fifth model in the series, but it will also sport a 5-inch display, hence the Nexus 5 name will make sense for more than one solid reason. The display will obviously sport a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution (440 PPI), which seems to be a display standard for high-end handsets this year, the all-new NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8/16GB of storage, 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and auto focus and a 3 megapixel front facing camera.

Wow those are some great specs & if true you can sure bet I’ll have one in my hands for more than just a demo.
What do you think of this rumour & the suspected specs?
