Koodo now offering the HTC Desire 601

Well Koodo has expanded their line up of Device offerings this week & one of those New offerings is the Desire 601 from HTC. The Desire 601 is a midrange device with a sleek & sexy rounded design reminiscent of the HTC ONE X & X+ with that beautiful matte finish.
Other than the sleek design another huge pro of this device is the front firing boom sound dual stereo speakers like those found on the HTC ONE.
The HTC ONE has the best sound hands down from any mobile device on the market today because of these speakers with built in amplifier & the Desire 601 should sound just as great. That great sound is further enhanced when paired with the mini woofer accessory HTC has recently released to bring even more bass & full sound when listening to music or watching a video.
Find the full specifications of this device below & stay tuned for a full review coming in a future article.

The Desire 601 is available in black only & at an outright price of just $300 or $0 on the Medium Tab. You can grab yourself one from your local koodo kiosk, retail partners (future shop, Best Buy, Mobile Shop, ect) or from Koodo’s own webstore today.

Desire 601 features:
– Android™ 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
– 1.4 GHz Dual-core processor
– 4.5” HD Super LCD display
– 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera

Copying the Market leaders seems to be a trend right now

The HTC ONE was launched the other day & many were making alot of comparisons of the phone & the actual presentation to Apple & the iPhone.
Now it’s LG’s turn as they seem to be copying the other leader in the mobile market Samsung. In a video showing the features of LG’s new Optimus G Pro you can see that they have a feature called Q Slide in which you can write on the screen in a S-Pen type way or where you can run split screens or floating video, both exactly like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2.(check the video below)

They also seem to be copying Samsung when it comes to advertising as seen in this video which is an obvious poke at Apple which Samsung is no stranger at doing. Basically it’s showing that their phone can also take panoramic shots like the iPhone but it can take it a step further with photo sphere. You might feel like you’ve seen the video as it is identical to the iPhone one with the many children in a lineup. (Check out the video below)

Do you think these are good strategies or just plain ripping off the others & you’d like to see some originality from these other device makers?

Video of the new HTC ONE looking sleek & damn sexy

Here’s the best video I’ve found so far of the new HTC ONE since there was no live coverage of the event & I wasn’t at the event personally.
It’s a video from the Mobile Geeks with a quick over view of the HTC ONE & I must say it looks absolutely incredible. If I didn’t already have the Galaxy Note 2 & have fallen completely in love with the S-Pen & other features it has I would be taking a serious look at getting the ONE. It’s one single piece of aluminum that each device takes 150hrs to produce. It is very sleek & as sexy as they come. Also there’s finally a phone with dual front speakers ahhhhh I think I just messed my pants lol.

Well I won’t talk anymore & let you enjoy this video from the guys at Mobile Geeks, take it away guys.

Well do you like it as much as me or do you think it’s another fail from HTC?

Full Specs of the HTC M7/ONE

HTC has scheduled a press event for Feb 19 in New York and London. This is almost certainly going to be the reveal of the M7 or One as it’s now being said to be named. According to unconfirmed reports that came to light today the HTC M7 is going to be powered by a 1.7Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, LTE Capabilities. It will release running Android 4.1.2 with an updated version of the HTC Sense user interface, that is much less intrusive & very nice looking IMO. The phone will have 32GB of internal storage & an SD Card slot for up to 64gb of expandable storage. It will feature a 13mp rear facing camera & 2.1mp front facing camera, which is a step up from the average high end devices out at the moment. Giving all this great stuff the power it needs to run will be an un removable 2,300 mAh battery.

Let’s hope this phone will be what HTC needs to bring them back in a big way. HTC makes some of the most beautiful & well built phones but for some reason just can’t seem to gain ground in the marketplace. Well this could be HTC’s device that turns things around, or at least I’m sure HTC is hoping so.

If your in the market for a new high end phone you might want to check this beauty out when it’s released. It definitely looks like a device that would impress any power user. Will you be picking “ONE” up, or are you waiting to see what Samsung brings to the table when they release the Galaxy S4? Hit up the comment section below & let us know.

Is this the final design of the HTC M7?

A new leaked photo showing the possible HTC M7 has popped up online at evleaks. I personally hope it’s not the final design as the ONE series had HTC making some of the best looking phones on the market. This seems like a step back into the wrong direction, which is unfortunate for the struggling tech company.

With a 4.7-inch full HD display and 1.7GHz, quad-core processor (presumably S4 Pro), 32gb internal storage, 13mp front facing camera 2mp rear  The M7 should have all the high end specs you could expect in 2013. It has a suspected release for only a few weeks after World Congress in Barcelona & at an unlocked price just over $600.

Everything seems great with this phone but again let’s hope this isn’t the final design.
So what do you all think of the design & specs of the HTC M7, does it seem like something you’d purchase? Let us know in the comment section below.

** UPDATE** Here’s a new possible photo of the M7 which looks sooooo much better, but I wish they would round the corners more like the Galaxy S3. Well check it out & let us know what you think?

**UPDATE 2**
Heres the most recent leak of the M7 which is said to be the first press shot, which would make it the final design. Well what do you think? I like the slimmed down version of the Sense UI personally. This very well could be a great seller for HTC.
